How to Print a Print2HTML5 Document on the Printer?

Print2HTML5 documents may be easily printed on a real printer to get a document hard copy. Printing works properly only in certain browsers and relies on browser printing capabilities. The best results are achieved in Edge, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera and Firefox browsers. To print an HTML5 document you need:

  1. Click Print button on the toolbar. The standard browser Print Dialog window will be shown
  2. Select the printer you wish to print the document on
  3. Click Preferences to setup additional printer settings
  4. Click Print button

However, to achieve the best results you may need to configure your browser printing preferences to turn off page margins, headers and footers. Also it is better to use the paper size corresponding to the paper size of the original document. Below are the specific printing instructions for some browsers.

Printing HTML5 documents from Internet Explorer

To configure Internet Explorer for printing:

  1. Click Tools button on the Internet Explorer toolbar and choose Print > Page Setup... from the menu
  2. In the Page Size field choose the paper size corresponding to the paper size of the original document
  3. Enter 0 in all four Margin fields
  4. Choose Empty in all six fields corresponding to Header and Footer fields

To print from Internet Explorer, follow the general printing instructions.

Printing HTML5 documents from Google Chrome or Opera

To print from Google Chrome or Opera:

  1. Click Print button on the toolbar. The Print window will be shown
  2. Click More Options or More Settings
  3. In the Paper Size field choose the paper size corresponding to the paper size of the original document
  4. Choose Default in Margins field
  5. Clear Headers and Footers option
  6. Click Print button

You need to use Opera 15 or a later version to print HTML5 documents properly.

Printing HTML5 documents from Firefox

To configure Firefox for printing:

  1. Open any page, click Open Menu at the right top of the browser window and choose Print
  2. You should see a print preview window now. Click Page Setup button
  3. Switch to Margins & Header/Footer tab
  4. Enter 0 in all four Margins fields
  5. Choose blank in all Headers & Footers fields
  6. Click OK button and then click Close in the print preview window

To print from Firefox:

  1. Click Print button on the toolbar. The Print window will be shown
  2. Select the printer you want to print on, then click Properties button and choose the paper size corresponding to the paper size of the original document
  3. Click OK button
